Would like to know, if we can activate and configure Intel AMT from esxcli?

    Hello,

We have a production esxi server which is installed on Lenovo Workstation, and we need to activate and configure Intel AMT for remote console access.

And since this server is critical, we would like to know, if we can manipulate those settings without rebooting this server? just like we do for the ILO for HPE servers and hponcfg command??

    Thank you in advance,

With ESXi you will have to activate Intel AMT manually via  MEBx interface (accessible via Ciontrol-P key combo during BIOS POST reboot phase) to enable its network access) see https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/guide/getting-started-with-active-management-technology.html for more details.

once configured you can access Intel AMT over Wired LAN on its IP address (DHCP assigned by default, you can also set it to static  IP) with its built in Web UI on port 16992 or 16993 (TLS /https).
using AMT enabled consoles like Intel Manageability Commander  (see link above)  or Open Source MeshCommander (no longer supported by Intel).
