Windows Server 2025 - Adding Additional Hard Drives to a VM

I've installed Windows Server 2025 successfully and wanted to add 2 additional hard drives which I did. When logging into the VM, the Task Bar is unable to load. I've done this multiple times and it happens every time.

Any idea on what this could be caused by?

Hi Daniel,

I really do not know but are you using RDP or the VM Console? is the behaviour the same on both?
Are VM Tools installed?
Your best place to start to identify this is really to review the Windows event logs in the Guest VM.

I'm using VMware Workstation directly. I can't see the event logs, as I can't login.
