Windows 10 64-bit RDP is crashing on VM

Hello Community,

i am experiencing a very strange issue with one of the VM's .

a VM with  Windows 10 64-bit  RDP is crashing on daily basis. can't connect to RDP and  eather VMRC.  Nothing in Windows 10  Events logs that could lead me to the clue. the onlything i am noticing is vmware tools stops running. Resets brings it back to life.

migrated to a different host , same thing.

VMware ESXi, 6.7.0, 14320388

Guest OS:  Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)   

Compatibility:  ESXi 6.5 and later (VM version 13)  
VMware Tools:  Running, version:10279

any idas where to look for the clue or what could cause such a disaster?

Hi,

updates the VMware tools to version 11.1.0

VMware Product Interoperability Matrices

and change "Compatibility:  ESXi 6.5 and later (VM version 13)"

with the version of 6.7 U3 (VM version 15)

What's the Windows Power Management set to?

Does changing it to 'High Performance' make any difference?

i have updated both the vmware tools and Compatibility

it didn't help (

crashed again this morning.

when i tried to login to Windows using VMRC i got this message "Set virtual machine display topology the operation is not supported on the object."

the VMRC oppened but it freezes , the reset did the trick

any clues?

This is interesting. I got the same issue and so far the only helpfull solution was your sugestion to uninstall the vmWare tools. Have you found another solution yet?

Host: ESXi 6.0u3 (newer versions not supported by the underlying hardware)

Guest: W10 (x64) - 1909

vmWare tools: 11333 upgraded from 10346
