There is no seperate plug-in to download.  Storage vMotion is a part of the vCenter/vSphere download.  You just right click on a VM and select migrate and then select "Change Datastore"

storage vMotion will allow you to migrate a vm to another datastore.  vmotion will allow you to migrate a vm to another host.  If you want to migrate a vm to another host and datastore at the same times, the vm has to be shut down.

Also, please do not forget to mark helpful and correct answers.

    Thanks

There is a combined function to migrate a VM to a different host and datastore, even if the VM is on local storage.

You can do it in live mode and don't need to shut down the VM.

This option is only available in the vSphere Web Client.

As already mentioned, Storage vMotion is a feature of vSphere and does not require a plugin.

You will have to own a Standard/Enterprise/Enterprise plus license to use Storage vMotion. it will not be available with Essentials/Essentials plus licensing.
