Hi. I am actually a DBA and recently I started learning vmware architecture due to the fact that we are running our database on vmware. My question is related to the esxi queues. I found these two images in the web:
However, I can't find the Default and Max values for Device (LUN) queue depth which is pointed on the above image.
For more details, I also found this image:
Which shows that in this scenario Device Max Queue Depth is 1024.
Some questions come into my mind regarding Device Queue Depth which I can't find in the web, so I thought I can get help here.
What are the default and max values for Device Queue Depth?
Does it depend on HBA Queue Depth?
Where do I suppose to get this number?
Does it depend on the vendor's characteristics?
