    Hy!

I have a two node cluster with 7.0.3 version, and some VMs vSphere HA status is unprotected. Under the cluster configuration the vSphere Availability is ON. I attached some photo.

What should be cause this error and how can I resolve it to all VMs will be protected?

    Thanks.

    Hi.

I run into this pretty much on a monthly basis.

If you turn off vSphere HA, wait for the processes to complete by watching Recent Tasks, turn on HA, wait for the processes to complete.  That should fix the issue unless there is a deeper issue with a specific host.  You may need to refresh the browser to clear the alert.

If that doesn't work, you may want to try rebooting the vCenter; especially if uptime has been more than 90 days.  I reboot my vCenters every other month which has resolved a lot of recurring issues.

I'd like to add a piece of info to the reply by hgdeloitte, which indeed works for most cases.

A customer had recurring alerts everyday on many VMs, and after a lot of research, the FAQ prior to opening a ticket to vmware support lead me to a kb pointing that the problem may be related to a snapshot on the vCenter server VM that hasn't been deleted. The older it gets, the worst the situation.

And deleting the snapshot solved the issue. 🙌
