vSphere Client could not to connect to vCenter

Hi all!

I'm having trouble not able to connect to vCenter from vSphere

Server error: 503 Server Unavailable

What do I need to do to remedy the above situation

If you have any idea about fixing this, please help me.

Which vCenter version do you use?

Note that the "old" Windows based vShphere client does not work with current versions anymore, and has been replaced with the web based (vCenter Server integrated) client.

I am using vcenter version 6.0. VCenter installed as a server appliance on OS SUSE Linux Enterprise 11.

If I try to access vcenter via website, I get this message

 It looks like the vmware-vpxd next to a couple other important services are not running. So it makes sense you cannot connect to the vCenter Server.

Can you have a look in the vpxd.log file as to why the service is not running?

invsvc, vapi,  vpxd down. Could be a solution user cert issue. 

Run service-control --start --all   and post the output of the service log that fails.

Like  he mentioned to you Windows client version not support accessing your vCenter.

Although the error message is slightly different to the one that usually show up in case of expired certificates, I'd still uggest that you run the commands in section "Reviewing stored certificates for vCenter Server Appliance:", step 3 from https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2111411 to check whether the certificates have expired.

If you are running anything like production workloads in that vSphere environment, you should consider upgrading (vCenter Server and ESXi hosts) to at least 6.5 to be on a version which is still supported and updated.
