The "vSphere Essentials" for around 470$ + 70$ 1Y Subscription would be the start. Brings 3x2 CU Lics and a vCenter Essentials instance. Yes it will unlock the backup API.   Please describe what you mean with "vstorage API"? There are VASA, VAAI......

    Regards,

Thank you so much for your reply.

My main question is regarding version of Vsphere Essentials because I have (01 host with 6.5 free and  02 with 7.0 free).

vstorage API is the API  which is used in esxi for data protection.

    best regards

The APi is named VADP (vSphere API for DataProtection) formaly known as VMware Consolidated Backup.

The License you bought is always a rescent one and than you can split and downgrade too the version you want. So having a ESX6 and 7 is not a problem.

    Yes.

Again.. you can  split the license  from 3x2 to a  2x2 and 1x2 one and then downgrade the parts independent to the needed ESXi 7 and ESXi6 versions . The included vCenter 7 instance can manage ESX 7 and 6.7/6.5 Hosts.
