    Is it possible to install VMware vSphere CLI on a Mac, using the Linux package? If so, what are the steps?

    The vCLI (vSphere SDK for Perl) is not supported on a Mac, you can install it as it's just Perl modules. Take a look at this blog post for the details http://www.virtuin.com/2012/11/installing-vsphere-sdk-for-perl-on-os-x.html
