    Hello

If the license is VMware vSphere 6 Enterprise Plus for 1 processor (VS6-EPL-C), does it mean that only 1 socket can be used on the vSphere host?

Our host has 2 sockets and 8 cores per socket.

If the host can only use one of its CPUs, then on the VMs, should I change the current's 2 CPU 1 cores per socket to 1 CPU 2 cores per socket because the features of the license says up to 8 virtual CPUs...

    Features:
vSphere FT (up to 8 virtual CPUs)

    TIA

A license key can not be assigned to a host that exceeds the licensed capacity (# of sockets).

The license key is not related to the vCPUs that you can assign to a VM. The maximum vCPUs that you can assign to a VM depends on the number of logical CPUs (# of cores/hyper-threading)

    Thanks guys.

I found out that there's more than 1 license so it took the license when applied.
