on 13.5.2 after installing VMWare Tools you got under Displays settings in Windows "A custom scaling has been set"
When you sign-out and back in, resolution changes significantly to Retina based on VMware Display settings.
However, on 13.6 this does noyt come up. and as a workaround i i adjust resolution on Mac, down one, than back to make VMWare auto-adjust, because no matter what resolution i picked in Windows display, the icons were still large... and since scaling 100% can only go up. that's a bust.
