  • 1.  VMware ESXI Host Client not compatible with Ipad

    Hello Everyone,

     

    First of all I want to say that I'm very happy with the introduction of the ESXI Host Client, It's a very good start for not having a vSphere client to be installed.

    One thing I also hoped for is compatibility with mobile devices, for example, an IPad. Sadly enough this is not the case. Not for IOS 8 or 9

    I tried several browsers without any luck. 

     

    There are several problems;

     

    • The page is not scaling correctly
    • The upper bar is not visible where you can, for example, log off
    • The webpage is blown up when you rotate the page on the iPad horizontal, not having the possibility seeing the full webpage.

      

    I found these problems in Tech Preview, build 2015.08.25.3015331 combined with ESXI 6 with latest patch

    Hi Marcel,

    Thank you for reporting these issues. We have made some improvements wrt. iPad support in the latest release of the Fling. Could you update and let me know how it goes?

    Hello Eleseur,

    Sorry for my late reply.

    Tech Preview, build 2015.10.22.3172496 is a big improvement regarding the earlier build.

    I can now manage my ESXI server from my IPad without any problems.

    All my earlier reported issues are solved in this build, which makes it a more then usable product.
