Vmware ESXI 5.5 Embedded Host client download

Hi all,

Please I am trying to download the embedded host client for esxi 5.5. I am running this in my lab and this to install an OVA file with a SHA256 hash. I cant seem to find any link for it. Can one help? Thank you

If what you need is the ESXi Embedded Host client, you can obtain it in the following link, and you must install it in the ESXi.

Thank you very much. Now I have another issue. After trying to deploy the oVA file using the host client, I get this error message saying..
Line 26: Unsupported hardware family 'vmx-13'.

Could you please point me in the right direction to resolve this.

Hardware version vmx-13 is supported since ESXi version 6.5.

If you have ESXi version 5.5, the Hardware version must be vmx-10 on the VM. You must get an OVA for ESXi version 5.5 or if you generated it from a VM, you must change the hardware version to vmx-10 on the VM and then re-generate the OVA.

Another option is to upgrade ESXi to version 6.5.

You could try to unzip the OVA file and look for the file xxxx .ovf, and try to edit this file to change the vmx-13 to vmx-10, it might work.

The reason I have not upgraded is because this is for my lab and I had a license from my previous work and I fear that I will loose the license if I upgrade. Is there a way for me to get a trial license for lab purposes that you are aware of. If not I will try your other suggestion of editing the file

you must have a user and password (if not you can register for free), the license is 6, it works for 6.0, 6.5 or 6.7.

If you had a license from your previous work, you might not have the right to use it any more anyway.
