    hi everyone,

I would like to know if my network configuration is correct?
So we have a vmware cluster where two hosts are connected to the disk system via iscsi. vmotion, iscsi and vcenter/host management operate in their own vlans. Well, what happened to me was that I left the management network without setting spanning three on with the new switch. The consequences of that were the total crash of the disk system and its own reboot. Should it really work like this, or should vmware still remain operational but only the management network crash?

    Hi there,

Can you confirm how ESXi is booting? Local disk or iSCSI?
In any case, ESXi typically runs in memory after boot, so even if the boot LUN goes down, the host can stay up... but not always stable.
