    Hi all,

      Kindly explain what process takes while vm reset .what is the difference between VM reset and reboot .Thanks!

    Reset - its like pressing reset power Button on physical system. Hard restart of system, don't wait for Guest OS to complete shutdown process.

    Reboot - its like restarting System within Guest OS, which will follow system restart process, like closing all apps, process and restart OS. if you want to reboot using vSphere client option then VM tools needs to be running in Guest OS.
