Theoretical question - Does anyone know conditions when VM BIOS version or build gets updated? (except when VM HW version gets upgraded, obviously)
What else might cause this? VM tools upgrade? ESXi upgrade? OS upgrade? anything else?
Story behind this question is that I didn't do anything that in my opinion would cause VM BIOS upgrade, but at some point noticed it has changed from VMW71.00V.21100432.B64.2301110304 to VMW71.00V.21805430.B64.2305221826. At lease this is what I see at OS level.
