  • 1.  Virtual machine with status invalid.

    Dear,

    I am using Vsphere  ESXi 5,  during the process clone of VM show error message "Error caused by file [datastore name] VM_WEB "  after this the VM is with state invalid and not allow me power off or reboot. Somebody has any idea about this issue  ?

    * The storage is local , isn´t using storage external like iSCSI or FB.

    Could you please let us know the OD type .

    If its windows 2008  please uplod log file from below location .

    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep\.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\sysprep\ .

    "He Conquers, Who Conquers Himself".

    -- Can you remove the vm from inventory and register it again and check...

    First try to remove the VM from inventry and register the VM back.

    If not try to kill the VM and Power ON KB1003742
