    Hi all ,

today I noticed the following issue .

A two Esxi 5u1 node cluster

    Virtual center 5u1

If I select one of the nodes and click on the Virtual Machine Tab I don't see any Virtual Machines , only templates.

Selecting the cluster itself and virtual machine tab I see all the VM

    what's wrong ?

    thanks

Have you checked the virtual machine tab of each node?   Maybe all the VM's are located on a single node of the cluster.

could it be that you don't have any VM's registered on the host in question?  If you connect directly to the host using the vSphere Client are there guests registered? If so, you may think about restarting the management agents on the host in question.

    Problem was much more trivial

The customer right-clicked on the tab and selected

    "show templates" ....

Sorry for the alarming post :-)

ah... the dreaded VMs & Templates Inventory view.

Glad to see you got it resolved!

For me, I always have my inventory views setup on Hosts and Clusters.  This way I can see everything....
