    Hi Team ,

Do we have any Calculation Matrix by which we can identify the no. of virtual machine we can run on underlying OEM Server’s.

    Case :

We have 3 OEM server with 96 GB Ram each with 2 Octacore Prossessor in short  . Now how can we calculate  no. of virtual Machine  can run on Underlying hardware without any performance issue.

Virtual machine Profile which i am planning would be like below. HA /DRS all will be configured the part of Setup.

    1. 1VCPU and 4GB vRAM.
    2. 2vCPU and  8 GB vRAM.

       3.  4vCPU and 16 GB vRAM

Without performance data it will only be a guess - First some tips - try to limit the number of virtual SMP machines - the majority of the VMs should be single vCPU - in fact start all with single vCPU is performanc is not good then in crease the number of vCPUs -

With this in mind for vCPUs assume 10 vCPU per Logical CPU (this is either a core or Hyprthread if hyperthreading is enabled) for memory the worst case scenarion will be the total memory whould be less than the memory assigned to the hosts
