    Hi all

I've installed into my notebook, one VM where I've installed VC. Whit this VM I have to do a demonstration about benefits of Virtual Center to future customer, where Virtual Center is not available. I know also if an ESX lost the connection with virtual center, after 14 days, some functions are not available.

My question is which step I have to do after my demo, so that the ESX work well like before my demo? I have to stop only the VC agent into the ESX?

    Thank you in advance

    L

    Hello,

Simply remove the esx host from virtual center once your demo is done.

An ESX server, with no VC connectivity, will simply lose the features and benefits that come with VC. The core ESX functionality will always be there as long as you are licensed.

which licensing mode do you use for this ESX server - host or server based? If it is host based then your ESX will continue run VMs.

I think the issues you are talking about is with ESX connecting to the licensing server not VC.

    Hi

at the moment the customer have host based license. I think if they appreciate enough the product, they will buy virtual center and they will change the license mode.

    Bye
