Looking for your valid inputs on this VEEAM backup error, “Error: Failed to open VDDK disk” ( is read-only mode - [true] ) Failed to open virtual disk. Please help me in getting fix this issue.
Are you running ESXi with a free Hypervisor license?Veeam and other backup vendors require at least Essentials or better, which unlocks the required API for ESXi.

nope we are running with VMware vCloud Suite Standard for vSphere 6 (CPUs).
VMware vCenter Server 6 Standard (Instances)
Can you please provide the logs for this job from C:\ProgramData\Veeam so we can analyze them. Did you open a Veeam case? It‘s higly recommended.
