    Hello,

I am trying to setup a distributed vswitch.

At first we went for LACP but because the health check never going "green", we decided to give a try to a normal Ethernet channel.

No matter how I set it up I keep getting th same warning/error, unsupported vlan, mtu mismatch.

The VLAN and MTU status show as "not supported". But I have no clue what this means.

So anyone might have an idea on what it might causing that?

    esxi & vcenter version : 5.5U3

Can you tell me more about your setup? It is physical box with nics? What should the vlan be? How is it connecting to the network?

    Hi,

It is a cluster of 5 esxi hosts.

All of them have 4 NICs connected to a cisco (5550 I think) switch.

The first 2 belong to a standard switch on an Ethernet channel.

The other 2, we are trying to create a Dvs to migrated all the VM networks from the standard switch to this one. These 2 are on a different Ethernet channel the one we are having issues with.

For the time being, only VLAN 217, and probably VLAN1 (this is the native cisco vlan)  are configured.

    Thanks
