  • 1.  VCSA v8 unable to add to AD Domain ldm error 31

    I'm trying to add a VCSA 8 IA to an AD domain (Domain and Forest @ 2016) and I'm getting 'idm client exception error 31'.

    There are no firewalls between VCSA and AD DC.

    I tried it on the command line to see if I could get more input, got error 1f, this is the end of the logfile:

    Getting the same error on my Dev Kit running latest vCenter and Wins Server 2022.

    I've tried enabling vCenter to use SMB v2 instead of default SMBv1 by following this KB 2150832 but still same symptoms.

    I'm surprised this is an issue. Hasn't vCenter been validated against Wins Server 2022?
