VMware/Broadcom terms allow for upgrades and updates so long as you have active SNS on a perpetual purchase. After SNS expires, you are allowed to continue using the perpetual license, but you are not entitled to upgrades and updates. For access to the full legal terms in effect at the time you make your purchase, as well as subsequent updates, please see https://www.broadcom.com/company/legal/licensing. All Broadcom terms can also be found on support.broadcom.com.

Subject: vCenter vSphere v7 perpetual licensing
Before my arrival at the company, we purchased vCenter Server 7 Essentials and vSphere 7 Essentials with perpetual licenses a few years ago. What exactly does this mean in relation to running and updating our software and ESXi hosts? I'm sure the answer is already provided, just don't have time to wade through all the posts. Please send me a link to the answer if already answered.
Thank you
