It is showing the same error message. We do have perpetual licenses but we do not have an active subscription, so i guess that although we should be entitled the update fails with some strange error state and message.

Subject: vcenter upgrade 8.0.3.00400 to 00500 gives errno 2
i have some weird issues while upgrading to latest vcenter 8.
I noticed that for a long time a didn't have any upgrades available and when looking for this i noticed that the upgrade process has changed and needs to have an id and url change.
I followed the KB to change all the settings using powershell script and now the vcenter shows an upgrade is available. Great i thought
However when doing the upgrade the errors are all around with errno 2 and others. I had this before when the upgrade endpoint wasn't reachable but the powershell went good and the xml files where checked. I finally checked the endpoint in vcenter update settings and the endpoint url is like:
https://dl.broadcom.com/<unique ui>/PROD/COMP/VCENTER/vmw/8d167796-34d5-4899-be0a-6daade4005a3/8.0.3.00400
however when i check this link it gives:
Invalid file path provided
In short, the question is: how can i upgrade my vcenter ?
