Vcenter shows current Vmware tools but are outdated

  • 1.  Vcenter shows current Vmware tools but are outdated

    Hello,

    vcenter 7.0.3 shows that windows server guest have VMware Tools Running, version:11296 (Current), but when I go to download page for vmware tools latest version is 12.1.0 not 11.0.1. How to fix this problem?

    Ciao 

    There are versions of VMware tools that are not injected into ESXi builds (for some time now, VMware tools have a life of their own)

    Some versions of VMware Tools can be downloaded separately and here you can see the compatibility:

    I have to say that it is correct that they are current because what is present in the infrastructure
