For anyone else watching a progress bar wondering if you should revert, hang in there a little longer. It took over an hour to patch vCenter 7.0 U2b to 7.0 U3a. Stuck at 80% Converting data as part of post install for at least 30 min. I was literally seconds away from calling it a failed patch and reverting a snap.
Finally rolled over to Installation succeeded.
