  • 1.  vCenter calling home over unencrypted port 80 starting today

    I don't see a way to contact Broadcom support direct, so putting this here.
    vCenter contacts IPs 162.159.140.167 and 172.66.0.165 as per the VMWare documentation to call home.

    Looking at my logs for the past several years, it always does this over encrypted port 443.

    Today, starting around 8:30am EST it has started doing this call home over unencrypted port 80 along with 443.

    I assume this is a misconfig on the servers.

    This is the URL vCenter calls home to:  http://vcsa.vmware.com/ph-stg/api/v1/manifest?collectorId=yadayada
