  • 1.  vCenter 8.0 Deployment failed with error"Failed to run vdcpromo"

    Dear Techies

    I am trying to install centre 8.0 in my infra. When I am trying to deploy the  VCSA on the 2nd Step getting this error and getting failed with error

    "Failed to run vdcpromo" Please suggest to me what to do.

    There could be several reasons for this failure, I've outlined most common cause for this failure.

    1. Make sure the DNS server is configured correctly during the vCenter installation.
    2. Make sure port 53 is not blocked by firewall, which lets us connect to the DNS. 
    3. Verify that the domain controller specified is available and responsive. You can do this by pinging the domain controller or by running other commands to ensure that it is reachable.
    4. Check the firewall settings on the domain controller to ensure that the VCSA can communicate with it. 
    5. Make sure that the necessary ports are open and verify Network security groups (NSGs) and access control lists (ACLs) are configured correctly.
    6. Verify that the credentials you are using to authenticate with the domain controller have sufficient permissions to perform the action.
