    Hello,

yesterday i installed trial version of ESX4 then trial of vCenter and got them all conected.

Now i want to Install VCB and start using it. i am quite new to this VCB thing so first of all i do not know where to find it to install it. I've heard it is part of ESX.

I want to install it on a server and for testing on vcenter server and srat evaluating it.

where is VCB and how can i install it (need step by step doc).

my vCenter contains (vCenter Server (build 208156), VMware vSphere

Client (build 208156), VMware vSphere Host Update Utility, VMware

vCenter Update Manager (build 208126), VMware vCenter Converter (build

206188), VMware vCenter Guided Consolidation and VMware vCenter

    Orchestrator)

    i can not see VCB.

in vmware site (http://www.vmware.com/products/vi/consolidated_backup.html) when i click on "Download Trial" it takes when to a page where i can see hypervisors, vCenter and stuff but no VCB. i am sure i am missing something here so i would appreciate your help.

You need a Windows Server where you will install the VCB framework.

    You can download from: http://downloads.vmware.com/download/download.do?downloadGroup=VCB40

    For how to use see:

    http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/vcb_best_practices.pdf

I do not see any attach.

Maybe your trial is expired and you cannot download any other product.

Sure that you have the trial of ESX?

    Or you have ESXi?

Can you download other vSphere product?

If not you have to require a new trial.
