  • 1.  Using a printer connected to a thin client via USB

Hello, I have a thin client that I use to connect to VM in the Datacenter via Microsoft RDP. Is there any way to recognise a printer connected to a USB Port of the Thin Client inside the VM? It is to say, I want to print documents from the VM Guest OS and the printer is connected to the Thin Client I use to connect to that VM via RDP.
I'm not using Horizon or View infrastructure. Just vSphere.

    Thanks in advance.

    Guido.

I don't think this is specific to you running Windows in a VM, printer redirection is a function of RDP I believe:

Moderator: Moved to the Windows guest OS area as not related to a VMware product.

    Thank you Scott and Shreyskar

As Scott mention is a feature of Microsoft and the link that Shreyskar sent me says that only is supported on VMs with Windows Server version. It doesn't mention desktop versions for this feature.
