Everything that is released by VMware - everything is supported, safe and secure.

Do not forget to update vCenter first and after that ESXi hosts,

    Install better the latest versions

    for ESXi -

    ESXi670-2022100012022-10-062049709

    for vCenter - > vCenter Server 6.7 Update 3s | OCT 06 2022 | ISO Build  20540798

Please consider to upgrade to vSphere 7 if your Hardware compatible of course.

    Hello Keith,

version 6.7 isn't supported by VMware anymore. (Reminder: vSphere 6.5/6.7 End of General Support | VMware)

So I highly recommend to upgrade to version 7.0U3i as least. Please check if your hardware is compatible: VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search

And to check if your ESXi version and your vCenter version (and all other VMware product, too) you can use the Product Interoperability Matrix (vmware.com)

To select the best upgrade method it's important to know what release your currently using.
