I am getting this error:

Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. I am trying to upload a OVF to my host.

I have my ESXi host connected to a switch with VLANS. How do I fix this?

can you create new virtual machine on ESXi Host with regular steps?

have you modified OVF?

I have tried that but I do not see that line in my OVF file.

Can you provide more information about ovf for which you are getting error?

Can you export any VM from esxi as ovf and try to import again? To see if there is issue with ovf or any other issue is there.

The OVF I am trying to import is a windows server 2012 R2 template. 8GB in totally size. I only have issues when I am running my connection throught my edgeswitch. If I run it through a layer 2 switch I have no issues. I can export VMs but it seems to be extremely slow. And when I try to add an ISO to my VM and install, it disconnects constantly.

I understand VM export/import is working fine through Layer 2 Switch and it is failing only when using edgeswitch.

while connecting using edgeswitch, can you see if there are any packet drops? is there any other network connection issues?

can you try to import from another system with different OS?
