i just installed ESXi servers. i have made the NTP settings but I am getting the  error. i couldn't find what the problem was. can you help me if NTP is working or what is this warning?

Try to Manual Setup the time on ESXi with the vCenter time and restart the NTP services.

the value for reach is very bad (=3) , should be 377.  maybe network problems

run "ntpq"

at the prompt type "as"

note the assid (second column)

run "rv <assid>"

post the output, also the content of /etc/ntp.conf

Did you ever find a solution?  I have the same ESXi version but a higher vCenter version (19717403).  Will be putting the cluster into production soon.

 

I read that another solution is to uncheck the "enable monitoring events" which will help.

I have the same problem with unable to sync time via NTP.

My problem was that I have 2 kernel interfaces, but one to the internet and second to local network. But the internal one has checked "Management" service and Provisioning. If I removed Management from internal network, NTP works fine.

My issue was resolved by modifying the vcenter appliance to use UTC and pointed it at the same NTP server as the rest of the host. I had recently upgraded vCenter and it lost that setting.
