  • 1.  Taking a Snapshot Disconnected Two RDP Sessions

    Posted Apr 17, 2015 09:18 AM

Hello. Has anybody had any experience of this or a clue about what might cause it please?

I ran a script to snap 11 VMs in a folder. They are on different datastores - 8 were at our second site on their own SAN

and 3 were at the main site.

Typically, the only one that had issues was a prod email server (one of the 3), the rest were test/dev.

Two RDP sessions were open and they both disconnected as the snapshot ran. The users were sat near me so I knew straight away.

I tried to open a console window (web client, chrome tab) but it refused to show anything for about three minutes. The Windows log on the box

showed no errors or reboots, same in the vCentre logs.

All hosts are running ESXi, 5.5.0, 2403361.

    Thank you.

this happens when the VM has too much memory to dump. this could also be an indicator for a slow disk system.
