  • 1.  System logging is not configured on Host

    We are running the Vcenter Appliance and we just added in the host into the Data Center and that we are now getting a health status monitoring alert and a System Logging is not configured on the host

    Trying to set the Syslog.global.logdir but each time I try to put in a path, I get a general error occurred:Invalid fault Call "OptionManager.UpdateValues" for object "EsxHostAdvSettings-418" on vCenter Server "localhost" failed.

    I tried changing the store to match what is stated to do in this KB but I still get the same error

    Took a step back and figured out that I needed to first fix the scratch file location and then be able to perform.

    Setting up a persistant log folder:
