I'm new to VMWare, so this could be an issue with the player or the config file or perhaps it is specific to this applicance, but my issue is this:

When starting up the applicance, it gets an IP address outside the scope of our network (192.168.171.XXX) and not (192.168.1.XXX). I modified the ifcfg-eth0 file to give it a static IP, which it does, but it is still not reachable on the Windows 2003 domain.

    Any ideas?

Any chance of getting this setup converted to a SCSI drive? I'm having issues importing it to my ESX 3.0 server.

Have you tried using the Converter 3 on it?

Yes, I have. I kept getting an error message. No details either, just a standard "Converter has run into an unexpected error" message.

I did end up getting around this problem by downloading an updated version of this appliance. I was trying to use 4.2.0a but got it working with version 4.5.0b. I still get a VMware pop-up when booting the virtual machine that says the virtual disc was created based on LSI-Logic and is currently using Bus Logic. It asks if I'd like VMware to change that option for me. If I click Yes, the machine won't boot (Kernel Panic). If I click No, everything works fine!

I'm running into a new issue with this appliance. I've searched for answers to this elsewhere but couldn't find anything.

When I try to type in a field that has a "select" button (such as the "Assigned To" field), the little star shows up beside the field to show it is searching for possible entries. I immediately receive a pop-up error message that states the following:

    "ERROR CONNECTING to: http:///sugarcrm//json_server.php, ERROR:RequestOpenFailed \[module 'urllib' version: 1.1.3]

    Opening of HTTP request failed."
