SSO Identity Source group add issue No principal with the specified name exists

I've successfully added our identity source, but when adding the group to Single Sign On > Users and Groups > Administrators... It adds the green bubble, then I get "No principal with the specified name exists" red error box after clicking save. I have a ticket open with vmware and so far we've gotten no where and I'm not sure if my tech is even employed still so I am asking here.

    vSphere 8.0.2.00000

So far I have only rebooted the vcenter and see that the error still happens.

I have checked our firewall for any blockages and none incoming or outgoing.

    Hi CTRIM,

Login to vCenter> Administartion>Users and groups  >Administrators> Groups ( not Users ) > Click on Administrator > Click on edit > Under the section " Add a member" select the correct identity source and search for user ID you want to add and click on save.

    Regards,
