SRM - Vsphere replication Notification

We have SRM and Vsphere replication in place and we want to get notifications via email about failures.

How do you recommend doing that ?

Hi, Andreas,

If you have an Aria Operations Environment, you can configure the
integration with SRM and vSphere Replication, and create custom alerts
about replication, protection groups. Other way is do these configurations
on vCEnter Server in Alarm Definitions, there are a lot of alarms to
vSphere Replication and SRM.

No we don't have Aria Operations Environment in place. 

i think we need a paid license to have Aria Operations, is that correct or there is a free version ?

There isn't an Aria Operations free version. In this case, you need to
configure your vCEnter Server with SMTP or SNMP and configure the Alarms
Definitions on vCEnter. If you need, I can show you how to configure it.
