SOAP request returned HTTP failure and Veaam/Netbackup erros

Currently getting the following log message over and over.

2023-04-20T10:35:56.948-05:00 warning vpxd[06399] [Originator@6876 sub=vmomi.soapStub[105] opID=TaskLoop-host-292] SOAP request returned HTTP failure; <SSL(<io_obj p:0x00007fd4c43b48b8, h:104, <TCP 'xx.xx.xx.xx : 43258'>, <TCP 'xx.xx.xx.xx : 443'>>), /vpxa>, method: waitForUpdates; code: 500(Internal Server Error)

This message occurs every few seconds non stop.

Our Veeam and Netbackup jobs have a few failure daily, all says SOAP error. 

We have verified all services are runing, DNS is fine, Certs are good, ect. 

And suggestions on where to look next?

Seems the vCenter is having issues reaching the vpxa service inside the ESXi, is this happening with a single ESXi or with all of them? What do you see on /var/log/vpxa.log inside the ESXi

Hi, 

you just had this issue with SOAP errors in April.. We are experiencing this now. Same thing HTTP failures, SOAP errors in Veeam... But the backups still kind of work. Individuall vms fail, but then a retry and it will succeed... 

Did you happen upon a fix?
