Site Recovery Manager 8.2.0 with NetApp ONTAP 9.7

Hello all,

I want to use SRM 8.2 (on NFS) with NetApp ONTAP 9.7.

According to NetApp, Using SRM 8.2 with Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) 9.7, is a valid configuration:

However on the VMware side, only ONTAP 9.6 is supported with SRM 8.2:

Also, on the SRA download page, I could only find NetApp_Storage_Replication_Adapter_ONTAPA_version9.6.zip

which is for ONTAP 9.6.

Is there a SRA 9.7 version for NetApp?

Which is right, NetApp or VMware?

You can find the SRA for version 9.7 here - Product Documentation - Product Library

If it exists, it should work.

I'm looking for Storage Replication Adapter (SRA).

Hi,

I could only find the following on the NetApp site:

VSC, VASA Provider, and SRA 9.7 Documentation Center

But could not find the SRA for downloading which I find strange because

VMware was supposed to provide it and not NetApp.

Look at the installation doc - Installing Storage Replication Adapter

It says :

In addition, you must have done the following:

• Downloaded Storage Replication Adapter from the NetApp Support Site.

They ask you to download the SRA from Netapp Support site.

Hi Ron,

If this is a new SRA, it will take some time before it's updated on VMware portal. If Netapp has confirmed that the SRA 9.7 is compatible with SRM 8.2, then that should be good.

The problem is that the 9.7 version of SRA is unavailable on the my.vmware.com

website. The only version available for download is 9.6.
