Simple q- trying to add a VM to ESXi 6.7 unmanaged fails to power up VM

I am running 2 esxi 6.7 and a Windows 11 VM in virtualbox. Before anyone says anything this is to test an upgrade process. I will not do this on live machines and have issues. I know full well of nesting concerns. That said the esxi VM's run fine, Win11 is in VirtualBox, not in ESXi. All related VM's are on the same internal network and so addressed. I am trying to get a Windows Server VM on one of the ESXi machines. I have configured it for the same network as the ESXi hosts. In trying to power up the VM is fails with 'Unable to power up virtual machine', 'Disconnected from virtual machine'.

FYI each ESXi has a 2nd drive and VM's will reside there.

The main question I have is what logs to look at. I don't want to create a log bundle if I don't have to. I want to hone in on the specific log that would be beneficial. TIA

Try the log file that is with the VM.
