  • 1.  Search multiple virtual machines in vCenter

    Hi,

    I am working on vSphere 4.0 environment and I have a big list of VM's to be searched. There is only one VM you can search at a time in vCenter. Is there a way to search more than one VM in the vCenter search box?

    if naming conventions are different, it may be a bit difficult. You can use something like RVTools, then export to .csv and set a filter.

    you can export the VM list from VC to csv file and find the VM's there. other option is use of powershell scripts if you are aware of that..
