  • 1.  SCO Unix Performance Issue

We have a SCO Unix 5.0.7 Open Server VM that was P2V'd using Acronis.  The VM is having some performance issues, compared to when it was a physical server.

We have tried increasing Ram and vCPUs, but that has not resolved the issue.  The VM currently has 4GB Ram and 1 vCPU.  The physical server originally had 1 GB of Ram.

I noticed during the P2V conversion, the disk now has an IDE controller.  When it was physical - it was using a SCSI controller.  Are there SCSI controllers that will work with SCO 5.0.7?

Also, I don't believe that VMware tools will work with this OS.

Any other suggestions to troubleshoot and improve performance?

    Hi,

the LSI Logic is supported as SCSI adapter.

Take a look at the HCL. Open Server 5.0.7 is supported with Maintenance Pack 5: SCO Open Server 5.0.7 HCL
