    Hi

    Can some one please recommend good 2 ports RAID SATA controller for ESX 3.5 and 4.1 ?

    I would look to the hardware compatibility list. http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php You can also check http://vm-help.com

    Very often 2 port cards are software RAID (require OS drivers) which are not supported with ESXi in any version. You can try places like ebay or similar for things like Dell Perc RAID cards which are often available relatively inexpensively.

    Thank You for your reply.

    I'm trying to install ESX4.1 on XP 6400 PC with two SATA drives. Two drives are configured with Raid 1. During installation ESX can see two separate drives. Does it mean RAID controller is not supported.

    Correct, it is not supported due to the software raid used on the system.
