San path Problem with Windows 2003 Cluster on VM

    Hi

I've following issue on my Windows 2003 Cluster that is installed on a VMware ESX 4.1 Cluster Hosts.

Yesterday the San guy had made settings into the San Zoning which had pitty enough failed. After this a few San Switches were offline.

All my VM's did smoothly failover on the other san path to the Hitachi San, so no Problem By the way we have PSP Setting Fixed.

Exept both Windows cluster VM's The shared Disk are RDM Physical Disk, which didn't switchover to the other san path !

I believe that a Microsft Cluster do makes a fix SCSI Reservation on the shared LUN and therefore can't switch, because into the VM there is no MPIO installed at all. In normal case the ESX Hosts checks the PSP and SATP and decide the san Path, but with Microsoft cluster VM do not change or can't change the path.

Should i install a LSI StorePort Driver into the windows cluster VM quests ?

Or should I cut on san path in stead of 2 path ?

For any Help or Idees, I'm glad to hear -)

    Thanks

    Jürgen
