I have a cluster running SAN and now we want to attach NFS as well.
one esxi will have SAN storage and NFS storage attached.
what can be the drawbacks by using these storage protocols on same esx cluster.

Nothing, really. They're two totally different protocols (block vs. file) and you can use both simultaneously.
