  • 1.  Remove Domain entry

    Hello,

    I am using ESXi 5.0.

    If i go to "Configuration -> DNS and Routing -> Properties" and remove the Domain Entry the OK Button is disable.

    But how can i remove this Entry?

    BTW.: The Server is not a domain member

    Hi,

    Unless it's getting this from DHCP, you could try the DCUI (i.e. server console) and DNS setting there?

    Hi,

    there is no DHCP. Oke during the Installation of ESXi there was DHCP but after that the network changed and now there is no DHCP.

    In DCUI i cant find something like Domain in "Configure Management Network".

    Anything else I am missing?

    Hi Christopher,

    Go to "Configure Management Network" and then check DNS Configuration - Hostname. Mine shows "localhost.localdomain" for a fresh install and correspond to what is shown in the GUI.
