    How to Reduced the Hard disk size allocated by you to the VM? Like 100Gb is given by me by mistake i want to reduce it to 50Gb and OS and data is already there in hard disk

    Some options are:

    • Convert the VM using "volume based" conversion which allows to configure the target disk size (may depend on the guest OS)
    • Create a new virtual disk with the required size and use a 3rd party imaging tool
    • Create a new virtual disk and copy the files manually (may be an option for a data disk).

    VMware Converter is the supported way to shridk the vmdk
