  • 1.  reclaim lost content libraries

When I built my vCenter initially I used 7.0.1 and was quite happy with it.  Then I added an ARM Fling cluster only to discover HA doesn't work under 7.0.1.  So, I added a 7.0d VCSA and linked it to my existing 7.0.1, moved everything from the old one to the new one. unregistered the old one and deleted it.  Then I discovered that my content libraries didn't come over to the new vCenter.  I supposed I could've/should've forseen this might happen but I didn't so now I have a content library on my storage that I can no longer access.

My storage is NAS so i can go in and delete the old content library and build it from scratch, but I'd prefer not to do that if I don't have to.  Is there a way to reclaim my old content library and assign it to my new vCenter?

    Thanks

    Hey ,

So basically the Content Libraries are not replicated with Linked mode as they exist only on one vCenter at a time. Of course you can subscribe to an existing Content Library but for that you will need to do have the vCenter who has the Local Library up and running which is not your case.

Unfortunately you cannot recover the content library and you will need to create it from scratch.
